Difference between 0800 and 0808 Numbers
0808 and 0800 are exactly the same thing.
This is confirmed by the Government regulator site (Ofcom).
0800 numbers were the first range of numbers designated to be used for free phone in the UK. However, these numbers have been popular and have effectively run out for a large number of suppliers.
Ofcom therefore designated a new range 0808 for free phone use. There is no difference with operating an 0808 number.
